With simple, family-accommodating recipes as well as hard and fast end of the week feasts. This flavorful cake is outdated thus moreish – when we were trying this recipe, we resolved to eat it as fast as possible! The crude combination is a player, as opposed to a thick cake blend. The cake is flawlessly tacky however light in surface and not excessively thick. My grandkids love it!
Fixings
225g (8oz) self-raising flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of pop
2 tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp mixed flavor
100g (4oz) butter, diced
100g (4oz) black remedy
100g (4oz) golden syrup
100g (4oz) light muscovado sugar
1 egg, beaten
               275ml (9fl Oz)    full-fat milk
Strategy
1. You will require a 23 x 30cm (9 x 12in) traybake tin fixed with baking paper. Preheat the stove to 180°C/160°C fan/Gas 4.
2. Measure the flour, bicarbonate, ginger and blended flavor into a huge bowl.
3. Measure the spread, remedy, syrup and sugar into a little pan and intensity tenderly until the margarine has quite recently softened. Put away to cool a bit.
4. Pour the combination from the pot into the bowl of dry fixings. Add the beaten egg and beat with a wooden spoon until consolidated. Slowly add the milk, beating to make a smooth player.
